A classic Dry Creek Valley zinfandel that shows off the elegance and intense fruit flavors that are the hallmark of this Sonoma appellation. The wine is ourced the fruit from five, small family-owned vineyards in the center and north of the Dry Creek Valley. Since Dry Creek Valley receives coastal fog in the evening and early morning, the grapes from this area show a bright acidity, which blends perfectly with the forward fruit from the vineyards and results in a long-lived and balanced wine.
Aromas: Black raspberry, cherry kirsch, and chocolate overtones, with an underlying floral component of lavender and violets.
Taste: Sweet black cherry, black raspberry, and hints of chocolate and licorice. One of the most intense Dry Creek zinfandels we've made, with dark chocolate and black pepper spice underlying the higher toned fruits.
