This is pure Sangiovese with a nose of aromatic herbs accentuated with generous notes of tobacco, wet earth, black currant, and licorice. The palate manifests good consistency of medium-smooth tannins to ensure the lengthy ageing. There is rich structure and weight on the finish. This is aged 18-22 months in French oak and 8-12 months in bottle.
