Barbera d'Asti Battaglione 2013
This is a classic Barbera d’Asti with balance between acidity, tannin and persistent aromas, with a good aging potential. It has an intense, ruby red color and a bouquet of ripe fruit with an undercurrent of spices. Aged in oak barrels for nearly a year, it offers a full flavor and a long finish.
Class and spontaneous vivacity are the distinguishing characteristics of this wine. It has a slightly faded ruby red color and a fine, delicate bouquet of strawberry and raspberry. The typical sandy soil gives lots of finesse and very delicate aromas.
This Barolo has fascinating aromas of dried flowers, cherry and fresh spices. It has a full body, ultra-fine tannins and a long, flavorful finish. This is such a pretty and polished Nebbiolo. Essentially this is harmony in a bottle, one of the best Marcenascos in memory.
-94 points from James Suckling-
This Barolo is deep and dark with plum, dried strawberry and fresh flowers. It has a delicate bouquet with traces of licorice, mint and Lebanese cedar pine. It is full-bodied, rich and dense on the palate with silky and bright tannins.
-95 points from James Suckling-
Barolo Rocche dell'Annunziata 2012
The vineyard of Rocche dell'Annunziata is historically considered one of the most important of the all Barolo area. This is an extremely ripe Barolo with dried cherry, strawberry and allspice aromas. It is full- bodied, concentrated and super integrated with ripe tannins and a long, long finish.
-95 points from James Suckling-
