Hess Mount Veeder Cabernet Sauvignon 2012
The 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon Estate Mount Veeder is 80% Cabernet Sauvignon and 20% Malbec. This wine could keep for 30 years. A beautiful nose of white flowers, graphite, blueberry and blackberry liqueur, along with the telltale cassis and tobacco leaf are all present in this wine, which offers great intensity and full-bodied power in a well-delineated and moderately structured style. Give the wine some time and watch it unfold.

Hess 19 Block Mountain Cuvee 2013
$40 - BUY NOW!
The 2013 Proprietary Red 19 Block Mountain Cuvée is a blend of 61% Malbec, 33% Cabernet Sauvignon and the rest Petit Verdot and Syrah, all from the estate on Mt. Veeder. This blend has worked well, exhibiting an opaque purple color, a beautiful nose of incense, camphor, blackberry, licorice and a touch of espresso. It is full-bodied and concentrated, but with supple tannins and a roundness and juiciness – even for a 2013. This should age nicely for at least 10 or more years.

Hess Allomi Cabernet Sauvignon 2014
$34 -BUY NOW!
The 2014 Cabernet Sauvignon Allomi, is 80% Cabernet Sauvignon and the rest Petite Sirah, Malbec and Petit Verdot. This wine also sees 25% new American oak and spends 18 months in wood cooperage before it is released. The wine shows plenty of red and black fruits, earthiness and a lushness that is unusual for a Pope Valley Cabernet. It avoids the rustic tannins that area can sometimes turn out. This is a major winner and a delicious, fruit-forward, medium to full-bodied Cabernet Sauvignon that should drink well for 5-10 years, if not longer.

Hess Napa Valley Chardonnay 2014
$23 - BUY NOW!
This is 100% Chardonnay from the Su'skol vineyard in Napa that goes through about 25% malolactic and was aged in stainless steel and neutral wood. Exotic floral notes of mango and guava jump from the glass, along with pineapple and honeysuckle. It is medium-bodied, crisp, balanced, clean, and fresh with loads of fruit. This is a big-time winner! Drink it over the next year.
Hess Select Sauvignon Blanc 2015
$14 - BUY NOW!
A wonderful growing season set the stage for ripe fruit with decidedly pronounced flavors and aromas. Grassy tones on the nose, with plenty of citrus and tropical fruit flavors alongside a crisp, bright freshness are accented by wonderful acidity and a full, rich mouth-feel. New World in style with a nod to New Zealand and fermented in stainless steel, we love to drink this wine year round.
