[91 pts James Suckling] An attractive wine with blueberry, mineral and dark chocolate aromas and flavors. Medium to full body, silky tannins and a delicious finish. Drink now.
[89 pts Robert Parker’s Wine Advocate] The generic Napa 2014 Cabernet Sauvignon is a blend of 87% Cabernet Sauvignon, 6% Cabernet Franc and the rest Merlot and Petit Verdot, aged 18 months in about 59% new French oak. The wine is deep ruby, round and juicy with plenty of blackcurrant fruit, licorice and cherries. It is medium-bodied, soft, round and ideal for drinking over the next 10-15 years.
Dense, concentrated aromas of ripe boysenberry, blackberry, dark plum and cassis, with a hint of spice, preface intense, deeply concentrated, blackberry, blackcurrant and dark cherry flavors, culminating in a long finish shot through with a blackberry fruitiness. With a superb balance of rich fruit, bright acidity and polished tannins, this youthful cabernet sauvignon merits another 7-10 years of bottle aging, although no one who opens it sooner will be disappointed.
