[89 Wine Advocate] Slightly darker in color than the Canoe Ridge Estate and showing a touch more oak in its buttered stone fruit aromas and flavors, the 2014 Chardonnay Cold Creek Vineyard (100% Chardonnay aged nine months in 51% new French oak) is medium-bodied, textured, rich and lengthy on the palate. Cold Creek Vineyard Chardonnay is characterized by concentration and intensity from the 40-year-old vines and warmth of the renowned vineyard site. This Chardonnay is a decadent style with rich ripe fruit and a toasty character. An ideal growing season, 2014 in Eastern Washington was one of the warmest seasons in decades.
