from the Mosconi vineyard in Monforte d’Alba at 1,200 feet above sea level. The average vine
age is 60+ years old, from the oldest portion of the cru + 15-20 year vines from the younger
portion. After a two-week fermentation, the wine is then aged in lightly toasted French oak
barrique (a little less than 20% new + used and neutral) for 24 months before aging an additional
year in bottle. Very limited production.
